FAQ- Caravan Weight Checks

How long does a caravan weight check take?

It is usually approx. 45 min to an hour. This allows us time to discuss your weights with you and any suggestions we have to improve the weight distribution in your van, and your ball weight, which is a common weight that needs to be brought down.

What vehicles can you weigh?

We can weigh most types of single and dual axle trailers, caravans, pop tops, camper trailers, campervans, motorhomes up to 8T. We can also weigh your tow vehicle, including boats loaded on top. We cannot weigh- fifth wheelers and goose necks due to the design of the scales to get an accurate weight on the attachment.

What should I have in my van for a caravan weight check?

We recommend you have your van loaded up with as much of your gear as possible to being ready to go on a trip to give you a true indication of what your van weighs. Of course, any items missing, you can manually add in, but there is room for error with this system. If you travel with your boat, we recommend you include it in the weigh. Suggestions include: filling water tanks, full tank of fuel, firewood etc.
