There are four main aspects to a Caravan Battery and Solar System Setup;
The solar panels, regulator, battery and inverter.

Solar panels collect Direct Current energy to charge the battery

The regulator ensures the battery is charged correctly

The battery supplies power directly to your Direct Current 12v appliances

Inverters are then used to power the Alternating Current 240v appliances.
There are two main types of Caravan Solar Panels:
Monocrystalline and Polycrystalline. The main difference between the two is the type of silicone solar cell they use.
Monocrystalline solar panels have solar cells made from a single cell of silicon and are more efficient, and more expensive.
Polycrystalline solar panels have solar cells made from multiple silicone fragments melted together. The electrons have less room to move, and the power generated from these panels is less efficient. However, they are still a good option for a caravan solar system, and they are more affordable.
